Join us for a series of Walk & Talks, on Farms and Crofts across Scotland. This one is supported by Perth and Kinross Council.
Come and learn about the host farm or croft business, with the chance to connect with others and have informal discussions about wellbeing, during the farm walk as well over a lunch or supper.
Our aim is to encourage farmers and crofters to take time away, to connect, learn, share food and talk about the value of wellbeing as part of the business.
The events are free and we just need you to confirm your place via the Eventbrite Links.

My name is Hugh Chamberlain, Farm manager for Atholl Estates. I have worked for the estate as farm manager for nearly seven years, previously I was a shepherd on an estate in the Borders and prior to that down in Oxfordshire.
I don’t come from a farming family but from a young age I grew up on my neighbour’s farm learning and growing my passion for agriculture! I studied Agriculture and farm management at the Royal Agricultural Collage making some lifelong friends from all over the UK.
I have a passion for county sports and everything rural, from working my Labradors on the shooting fields to water skiing with my family on Loch Tay!
I have a newfound interest in regenerative agriculture, coming from a business family I feel I can see the good in “new” concepts and ideas which other may not be able to look past the old ways and see! I am witnessing first-hand how changing our farming policy here on Atholl estates is not only helping the biodiversity and the soils but increasing out grass output, animal quality and our bottom line.
Going into regenerative farming was daunting, but having the backing and drive from the Estate's head trustee has really made this adjustment more manageable. We are continually look at our farming model finding areas for improvement and growth and strive to make the farming on Atholl estates a vision of regenerative agriculture farming alongside nature!
